What you will be doing:
In your role as a Service Technician, you will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we provide professional and knowledgeable technical support to our customers. You will service and maintain business equipment such as ware wash equipment, dish machines, floor care and carpet care equipment. You will have direct contact and communication with customers, providing them with technical information and support. Your responsibilities will also include testing new equipment, detecting malfunctions, repairing machines, keeping records of service calls and parts used, maintaining inventory, and completing necessary paperwork for billing manufacturers for services provided as well as warranty work. You will also help determine service call and installation priorities.

Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and efficiently maintain the proper functionality of equipmentSound understanding of technical aspects of the equipment, including the ability to detect malfunctionsAbility to know and understand warranty processesAbility to maintain a clean driver's license and drive safely and courteously in all kinds of weather and road conditionsAn ability and willingness to maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, including performing pre-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance concernsExcellent communication skillsA team player with a positive attitudeStrong focus on customer serviceExcellent communication skillsAble to work independently at customer sitesDemonstrated ability to handle and solve challenges and demonstrate initiativeWhat’s needed: Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma and/or Certificate from a Vocational / Technical school1+ years of mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experienceComputer literate with basic knowledge of networkingElectronic & mechanical experience/aptitudeValid driver's license with a safe driving recordMust wear safety composite shoes.Preferred Qualifications:
