Job Description
The role involves providing engineering support services related to Over the Air (OTA) software testing and automation services within connected vehicle technologies. The position requires both manual and automation software testing of the latest automotive, infotainment, and connectivity technologies.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, document, and execute test plans, scenarios, and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring accurate reporting and resolution.Configure and maintain test environments, including hardware, software, and network components.Prepare and manage test data, ensuring it is accurate, reliable, and appropriate for testing.Generate and maintain detailed test reports, documenting test results and assisting in automating test processes and developing automated test scripts.Work closely with client stakeholders for gathering test plans including test cases, use cases, and directives.Follow guidelines set by the client for developing test automation scripts.Leverage client's automation framework and use Python scripts for automation.Create and share summary reports of test results via email and/or tool, Test Rail.Investigate all reported valid failures (defects), re-create failures as recommended to provide additional details related to the failures including logs and verify regression testing.Essential SkillsProficiency in Python, Selenium, and JIRA.Experience in Agile methodologies.Manual testing skills.Understanding of CAN bus and ISO14229/UDS protocols.2-3 years of prior experience in software test automation, including modifying and updating existing test scripts and frameworks.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Computer, or similar discipline is preferred).Experience with software testing and using Test Rail and Atlassian Jira is preferred.Familiarity with automotive communication technologies such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet is a plus.Work Environment
The position is onsite and involves working with cutting-edge vehicle technologies. The environment requires collaboration with client stakeholders and adherence to client guidelines for test automation. The role includes utilizing technologies such as Python and tools like Test Rail for efficient testing processes.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $41.00/hr.
