What you’ll do:
We are looking for a talented Software Developer in Test to join the Retail Onboarding and Growth Journey team to build customer faced interactive web applications. We are a highly collaborative environment where you are encouraged to seek out engagement with team members. You must be able to coach others as well as be open to receiving coaching.
Pursue strong engineering practices through a culture of continuous improvementShare in the vision of the product and drive team towards that vision Responsible for estimating, coordinating and directing testing for multiple products/projectsSoftware quality assurance on highly complex and/or multiple projects through manual and automated testing using industry standard tools leveraging agile project methodologiesContribute to product development by doing minor bug fixes and handling production support requestsPair with full stack developer during active development phase to ensure Schwab coding standards and best practices are followedStay abreast of user feedback by attending and reviewing UX Research sessionsDevelop with the user in mind and have a clear understanding of what KBI we are targeting with each ticketFollow the principles of agile and focus on incremental deliveryActively participate in discovery and experimentation sessions, working closely with other engineers and product team members to discover a strong solution Be at the forefront of evolving the way we work across teams and the company by incorporating design thinking, a multi-channel approach, and end to end collaborationImplement test practices, standards and processes, troubleshoot test issues, record test results, track and prioritize defects, participate in product readiness and release decisionsEstablish fact-based measures of test efficiency, effectiveness and product readinessTake part in application deployment to production and ensure the deployment is successfulAccountable for test environment stability and test data manifestation in various non-prod regionsWhat you have
Required Qualifications:
A passion for digital innovation and commitment to superb client experienceBA/BS degree in Computer ScienceFamiliarity with unit testing patterns (TDD/BDD) and methodologiesEffective relationship builder--ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as various personality typesMastery of one or more test automation tools/ framework:Test Libraries: Protractor, Selenium, WebDriver.ioTest Framework: Ruby, Cucumber, Specflow, TestNG, NUnit, XUnitAt least 2 years of hands-on knowledge in test automation using Selenium or WebDriver.IO or Protractor using Cucumber frameworkStrong programming skills in one or more Object Oriented programming languages like C#, JAVA or C++Familiarity with web application development using frameworks like MVC, Angular etc.Familiar with REST API development and test development for RESTExperience with Agile and being a part of a scrum teamUnderstanding of patterns and practiceAbility to troubleshoot environmental issuesAbility to conceptualize the best tactical approach for a team to deliver a projectPreferred Qualifications:
