We are looking for an expert in designing and implementing SD-WAN solutions will be critical to enhancing our network efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities:

Design and Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of Cisco SD-WAN solutions tailored for global enterprise environments, ensuring high availability and security. Implementation: Implement and configure SD-WAN solutions using Cisco technologies, effectively managing the integration with existing LAN/WAN infrastructures. Performance Optimization: Monitor, evaluate, and optimize network performance metrics, ensuring reliable and efficient operations across multiple regions. Automation and Scripting: Leverage automation tools and scripting to streamline the deployment and management of SD-WAN solutions; champion network as code practices. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation regarding network configurations, designs, and best practices for SD-WAN implementations. Troubleshooting: Serve as a key resource for troubleshooting complex SD-WAN issues, providing thought leadership and innovative solutions to challenges that may arise. Training and Support: Facilitate training sessions for operational teams on SD-WAN technologies and provide support as needed to enhance team skill sets. Policy Governance: Ensure compliance with infrastructure standards and policies while maintaining governance over network architecture and design. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Security, to ensure seamless integration and operation of SD-WAN within the wider network landscape.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a network engineering or architecture role, with a focus on SD-WAN solutions in a large enterprise setting. Strong experience with Cisco SD-WAN technologies, including Viptela and associated components. In-depth knowledge of network design principles, policies, and best practices for WAN architecture. Proven ability to monitor and optimize network performance and capacity. Experience in automation and scripting for network management and configuration. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Cisco SD-WAN Specialist) are highly desirable. Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
