This role is ideal for someone who has a solid understanding of Scrum principles and is eager to grow their facilitation and coaching skills while helping a team deliver high-quality software. You will be responsible for guiding the team through core Scrum ceremonies, supporting backlog refinement, and helping remove blockers to ensure smooth sprint execution. You will work closely with the Product Owner and development team to foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: * Facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies: Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. * Support the Product Owner in maintaining a well-groomed and prioritized backlog. * Track sprint progress using Jira, ensuring visibility into team performance and delivery. * Identify and help remove impediments that affect the team’s ability to meet sprint goals. * Promote agile values and principles, encouraging team ownership and accountability. * Foster a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating regular feedback loops and process enhancements. * Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on sprint goals and delivery expectations. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Scrum Master or Agile Facilitator * Solid understanding of Scrum framework and agile delivery practices * Experience using Jira (or similar tools) for backlog and sprint management * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support team collaboration and stakeholder engagement * Availability during Eastern Time business hours until at least 3-4 PM **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Exposure to agile metrics such as velocity and burndown charts * Interest in agile coaching and team development * Familiarity with technical environments (e.g., Java, ETL, AWS, Postgres) * Ability to foster a positive team culture and resolve minor conflicts constructively * Commitment to transparency and maintaining clear documentation of sprint goals, user stories, and team progress * Basic understanding of software development processes and team dynamics IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
