**CTG is seeking to fill a Scrum Master opening for our client in New York, NY.**
**Location:** New York, NY, or Phoenix, AZ
**Duration:** 12 months
**Duties:**
+ Act as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating all standard ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
+ Provide hands-on program management and lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of complex enterprise applications.
+ Drive projects from initiation through execution, with a strong focus on scope, schedule, and quality.
+ Identify and remove team impediments, manage risks and dependencies, and foster continuous improvement.
+ Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to ensure clear understanding of requirements and priorities.
+ Work closely with stakeholders across business and IT, ensuring alignment and transparency.
+ Track progress and communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders effectively.
+ Manage new project kick-offs, timelines, and resource allocations with precision and confidence.
**Skills:**
+ Strong technical program management and Agile/Scrum expertise.
+ Proven ability to manage demanding and fast-paced application teams.
+ Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
+ Deep understanding of Agile principles and frameworks.
+ Ability to manage functional and business-centric applications, not just platform-based projects.
+ Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
**Experience:**
+ Minimum 8 years of experience in technical project or program management roles.
+ 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
+ Prior experience managing large, complex enterprise applications with both functional and business requirements.
+ **American Express (Amex) experience is mandatory.**
+ Preference for candidates from **Phoenix, AZ** or **New York, NY** .
+ Experience with high-stakes application environments, demonstrating ability to handle cross-functional dynamics and complexity.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
+ Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM) strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
