Scrum Master

We design, build, and secure critical military aircraft solutions using unique technology application and Agile software development capabilities to improve mission agility, capability, and operational readiness. We are seeking a Scrum Master to facilitate and guide the a development team through its activities while collecting metrics to improve productivity and performance. Responsibilities: As an integral member of our team, you will hone your skills and support aircraft specific solutions and integrate with flight hardware. Successful candidates will engage in: * Participate in Program level planning and coordination * Identify and manage program risks and metrics * Define and monitor Team level goals—committed and stretch goals * Manage Team backlog (prioritize, size, refine) * Facilitate Sprint planning and implementation * Lead Daily Scrum meeting * Participate in Scrum of Scrums * Organize and lead Sprint review, retrospective, and demonstrations * Organize and lead Program increment review, retrospective, and demonstration * Coordinate dependencies and integration points with other teams. * Lead people, if assigned supervisor responsibilities * Understanding of Agile software development principles and DevSecOps practices * • Knowledge of managing team dynamics, conflict resolution, and problem-solving * • Ability to guide and mentor Team efforts to guide flow and achieve Team goals * • Proficient in Agile performance measurement and analysis techniques * • Communication skills to facilitate the flow of information within and across Teams * Excellent communication and team facilitation skills * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a BS in a related scientific or engineering discipline. * Agile development using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, or Kanban * Agile program and team events—Planning, Demonstrations, Retrospectives * Agile metrics collection and analysis principles and methods * Team capacity planning, backlog grooming, user story definition and sizing * Risk management—identification and handling techniques * Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (e.g., MS Azure DevOps, Atlassian) * Our teams work a 9/80 compressed schedule Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
