Join us and build _your_ ambition. **ABOUT THE ROLE** Amrize Construction is seeking a **seasonal, full-time Screed Operator** to join our team in Edmonton, AB. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring high-quality asphalt paving operations while maintaining safety, efficiency, and teamwork on job sites. The successful candidate will operate the screed on a paver, monitor material production, and contribute to the overall success of our paving operations. **WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH** + Fully trained in the operations and capability of the screed on a paver. + Work as part of a team to operate the paver efficiently. + Perform repair and maintenance on the paver under the direction of the plant foreman or lead hand. + Ensure accurate thickness of asphalt and monitor material production within specifications. + Ensure consistent feed to maintain a quality product. + Assist with various job site operations as needed. + Create an atmosphere of teamwork and seek out best practices. + Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. **WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** **Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent **Required Work Experience:** Min 2 years of experience operating a screed **Required Training/Certifications:** Valid Class 5 Driver’s License **Required Technical Skills:** Knowledge of City of Edmonton Specifications, ability to read survey markings **Travel Requirements:** Frequent travel between job sites within the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas **Additional Requirements:** + Mechanically inclined with experience in basic equipment maintenance. + Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including crouching, bending, lifting, and kneeling. + Proven ability to follow safe work procedures and complete field risk assessments. + Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators.
