Contract Scientist – siRNA & RNA Therapeutics

Location: Cambridge, MA | Department: Biotherapeutics & Genetic Medicine (BGM) | Type: Contract

Are you excited by the potential of RNA-based therapies to transform medicine? We’re seeking a Contract Scientist to join our siRNA research team within the Biotherapeutics and Genetic Medicine (BGM) department. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and execution of innovative experimental approaches that address key scientific challenges in oligonucleotide therapeutics.

What You’ll DoLead research efforts to advance siRNA platform development for therapeutic applicationsDesign and execute experiments independently, delivering high-quality, reproducible resultsApply a broad range of cell and molecular biology techniques to support RNA-based drug discoveryAnalyze and interpret complex data to guide future research directionsCollaborate across multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation and solve technical challengesContribute to internal reports, presentations, and potentially intellectual property filingsSupport continuous improvement in experimental design, assay development, and lab efficiencyWhat You BringPhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field (MS with 8+ years of relevant experience will also be considered)Strong hands-on experience in:Mammalian cell culturemRNA isolation and quantification (qPCR, sequencing – NGS/Sanger)Protein analysis (ELISA, Western blot)Experience in oligonucleotide therapeutics is a strong plusFamiliarity with CNS disease models and DNA/RNA editing tools is highly desirableProven ability to design and execute experiments efficiently and creativelyExcellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindsetAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
