DUTIES: Contribute to a team responsible for carrying out several supply chain specific functions, including forecasting, demand planning, inventory optimization/assortment/allocation, network infrastructure optimization, dashboarding and report building; develop algorithms for data science projects in the supply chain domain using Python, Pandas, and Numpy; perform time series forecasting using Exponential Smoothing, ARIMA, Machine Learning, and Neural Network Long Term-Short Memory (LTSM); develop decision support technologies using SQL, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mixed integer linear programs; create pivot tables and complex formulas in Excel; perform big data analysis and data integration using relational database managers, including dBeaver, and Python integrated development environments, including PyCharm; develop data science solutions using CI/CD and Github; maintain hardware and software infrastructure and suggest solutions for scaling either on premise or on the cloud with tools like Databricks; serve as the overall Comcast demand/supply planning technical solution architect; generate and evaluate competitive/alternative approaches to problem solving; recommend approaches/directions that achieve business objectives (high value at low cost); develop the to-be blueprint demand and supply planning model utilizing the O9 software platform to realize the future Comcast Demand Driven Supply Network based on consultations with functional teams such as demand planning, supply planning, warehouse operations and procurement; develop training materials to educate business users on how to leverage advanced models in the O9 Platform, including AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning); support and execute testing activities to ensure business and technical requirements are achieved as part of the O9 Solutions rollout; conceptualize, design, and implement new demand and supply planning KPIs to support the Demand Driven Supply Network; and monitor Demand Planning KPIs to identify areas of opportunity to improve the outputs of the statistical and ML models. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or any related technical or quantitative field, and one (1) year of experience developing algorithms for data science projects in the supply chain domain using Python, Pandas, and Numpy; performing time series forecasting, Exponential Smoothing, ARIMA, Machine Learning, and Neural Network Long Term-Short Memory (LTSM); developing decision support technologies using SQL, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mixed integer linear programs; creating pivot tables and complex formulas in Excel; performing big data analysis and data integration using relational database managers, including dBeaver, and Python integrated development environments, including PyCharm; and developing data science solutions using CI/CD and Github.
