Job Description:

As the SI&T Chief Integration and Test Engineer, you are responsible for driving the integration and test of complex electronic systems for the defense industry. You will need to have a firm understanding of electronic hardware (HW), software (SW), and firmware (FW) components and capability to coordinate with the respective development teams in the integration process. The role is of high-level system integrator, requiring extensive technical knowledge of the architecture, interfaces, and interoperability of complex Radio Frequency (RF) systems. Additionally, you will need to be a technical leader of engineers, guiding them through complex development processes and driving program execution.

Requires in-depth knowledge of RF principles, with an ability to evaluate performance data to identify root-cause conditions and requirements non-conformance. Working experience in all stages of the development lifecycle; with emphasis on the Verification and Validation (V&V) stages through post-production support. 

Tactical Role
In your day-to-day work, you will work with and direct system/integration and test engineers in the integration of defense systems, including electronic warfare (EW) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). You will be responsible for developing integration plans and test procedures derived from system requirements and performance specifications. You will prepare gate review materials, such as Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and Integration Readiness Reviews (IRR), and present to engineering management and customer representatives.

And most importantly, you will be integrating EW systems! This is a hands-on role managing and developing a team to integrate and test our most critical EW programs. You will be in the lab troubleshooting issues, working closely with the various design disciplines (hardware, firmware, software) to resolve technical issues. You will work with the program and project teams to lay out schedule and manage labor budgets.

Strategic Role
You will work with the department leadership team to drive infrastructural improvements to system integration development processes and tools. You will participate in Independent Review Teams (IRT) to review and advise on project execution. You may support many projects at once as an advisor to more junior project teams. You will develop training and mentorship programs to train newer-in-role engineers in system integration. You will participate in cross-site information sharing sessions with your peers to help drive common core processes and initiatives that properly encompass Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) needs.

Essential Functions:

Develop test specifications and execute design verification tests for developmental and production hardware.Coordinate with Systems Engineering Team, Systems Engineering Integration & Test Team and Operations staff to resolve production software issues and reduce cycle time.Develop department processes that align with industry best practices.Manage and guide a team of test software developers.Ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, schematics, test procedures, and test requirements. Identify any discrepancies within current test software and provide input for improvements.Update manufacturing test procedures as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience Or Graduate Degree and a minimum 10 years of prior related experience.Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance 10+ years’ experience using high-speed digital and RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscope, logic analyzers, etc.).10+ years’ experience integrating and troubleshooting component level systems, such as RF, power, and/or digital assemblies.8+ years’ experience working in Electronic Warfare (EW) or comparable RF technology field.6+ years’ experience integrating and troubleshooting complex systems / system of systems (SoS).4+ years’ experience leading technical teams through product integration.4+ years’ experience in cost account management (CAM) using a Earned Value Management System (EVMS).

Preferred Additional Skills:

Excellent organizational skills.Strong oral presentation skills.System Integration Lab (SIL) set up and management experience.Experience coordinating customer demonstration and test events.Experience in supporting system hardware through Environmental Qualification Test (EQT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and general First-Article Test (FAT) cycles.Understanding of the principles of Electronic Warfare (EW) technology, with working knowledge of Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) techniques and systems.Experience testing and integrating security technologies.Design and Integration experience in Built-in Integrated Test (BIT).Experience using DOORS and other requirements management software tools.Experience using Magic Draw and other system modeling software tools.Familiarity with Boundary Scan/LabVIEW/MATLAB/Xmatic/other tools for instrument control.Solid fundamentals in electrical engineering (ability to troubleshoot systems down to the CCA/SRA level).

In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $278,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
