Job DescriptionSeize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Scientific /Technical Editor on a team delivering administrative, scientific, technical and logistical support to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI). Your team will stand up a new NIH DPCPSI Office of Research Innovation, Validation and Application (ORIVA). Responsibilities include scientific research and writing to support New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and modeling methods.

Work will be performed in the Durham, North Carolina area.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Be an integral part of the scientific team including researchers, data analysts, programmers, and technologistsScientific writing and compilation of large project documents and comprehensive reports (e.g., summary report for each validation or test method nomination project)Complete forms, maintain up-to-date documentation, and various other research correspondence as requiredAbility to research and collect data through scientific experiments, techniques, and procedures, library research, or through other means for research projectsAssist with preparation for presentations and written published articlesEnsure customer satisfaction by providing high quality deliverables and anticipating needsWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required:
MA/MS in a related field with 2+ years of experience in scientific and technical writing and in leading the development of various forms of correspondence, preferably as editor of large project documents and comprehensive reportsCapable of fundamental programming for data analysis, survey data analysis, and data managementProviding quality assurance on deliverables and timely deliveryExcellent verbal and written communications skillsPreferred:
Experience in NAMs or a related scientific fieldExperience with CLIA SOP and regulatory science documentationPrevious experience with Health and Human Services (HHS) and/or NIHLocation: Onsite, Located in Durham, NC
