Job DescriptionSeize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Scientific Researcher on a team delivering administrative, scientific, technical and logistical support to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI).
Responsibilities include data development, analysis and evaluation, utilizing non-animal models including in vitro and computational approaches to development of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs).

Work will be performed in the Durham, North Carolina area.

Be an integral part of a scientific team including researchers, data analysts, programmers, and technologistsEnsure customer satisfaction through on-time delivery of high-quality deliverablesGather, analyze, and interpret scientific data to provide actionable insights that support real-time decision-makingDesign and coordinate interlaboratory validation studies, collect and analyze various data types (e.g., bioactivity, exposure, in vitro and in silico models, transcriptomics, dose-response) and evaluate relevance and reliability of data used in regulatory and other human health contextsPerform literature searches into existing Government databases (e.g., ICE, NIH Real World Data Platform)Develop and monitor project tasks and schedulesEnsure accuracy, integrity, and compliance in all research and analysis activitiesWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required:
Ph.D. in biomedical or other relevant field and 1+ years of experience OR masters + 4 years of experience.Demonstrated expertise in NAMs or a related scientific fieldExperience developing, evaluating, and validating in vitro or computational methods for human health safety and risk assessmentsExperience in data development, analysis, and evaluation, utilizing modeling methodsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsStrong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skillsPreferred:
Doctorate in a biomedical or other relevant field and 1+ years of professional experienceFamiliarity with biology/toxicology modeling and AI approaches (e.g., ML, expert systems, computer vision)Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and statistical/analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) a plusLocation: Onsite, Located in Durham, NC
