**Job Description:**
Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Scientific Researcher on a team delivering administrative, scientific, technical and logistical support to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI).
Responsibilities include data development, analysis and evaluation, utilizing modeling methods such as computational approaches and New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). Your team will drive research efforts using nonanimal approaches and other innovative technologies to advance human-centered research across NIH.

Success requires proven experience in a dynamic, detail-oriented research environment and the ability to provide responsive, flexible support services. Your team will ensure seamless service delivery in computational approaches, New Approach Methodologies (NAM) development, _in vitro systems,_ artificial intelligence, and more. Work will be performed in the Durham, North Carolina area.
**HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT**
+ Be an integral part of a scientific team including researchers, data analysts, programmers, and technologists
+ Ensure customer satisfaction through on-time delivery of high-quality deliverables
+ Gather, analyze, and interpret scientific data to provide actionable insights that support real-time decision-making
+ Design and coordinate interlaboratory validation studies, collect and analyze various data types (e.g., bioactivity, exposure, in vitro and in silico models, transcriptomics, dose-response) and evaluate relevance and reliability of data used in regulatory and other human health contexts
+ Perform literature searches into existing Government databases (e.g., ICE, NIH Real World Data Platform)
+ Develop and monitor project tasks and schedules
+ Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance in all research and analysis activities
**WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:**
**Required:**
+ MA/MS. in biomedical or other relevant field and 4+ years of experience
+ Expertise in NAMs or a related scientific field
+ Experience developing, evaluating, and validating computational methods for human health safety and risk assessments
+ Experience in data development, analysis, and evaluation, utilizing modeling methods
+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills
+ Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
**Preferred:**
+ Doctorate/Ph.D. in biomedical or other relevant field and 1+ years of professional experience
+ Familiarity with biology/toxicology modeling and AI approaches (e.g., ML, expert systems, computer vision)
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and statistical/analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) a plus

The likely salary range for this position is $43,888 - $0. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
