Scientific Communications Specialist, THV, Medical Affairs (Temporary role)

As part of our Medical Affairs team, you’ll foster internal and external collaboration to generate and disseminate evidence-based clinical practices to help impact patient lives and advance the quality of care. Your scientific curiosity and passion for patients will help us grow our reach and develop innovative solutions for people fighting cardiovascular disease. We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically rigorous person with a passion for scientific communication to join our Medical Affairs team focused on **Structural Heart Disease** , with a specific emphasis on **Transcatheter Heart Valves (THV)** . This role is pivotal in ensuring that our organization remains at the forefront of scientific innovation by continuously monitoring, evaluating, and communicating the latest developments in **cardiac valve disease** . **This is a short-term assignment for four months (September - December),** **with the potential for extension.** **How you’ll make an impact:** + **Scientific Literature Surveillance** + Conduct comprehensive and ongoing searches of peer-reviewed literature, conference proceedings, and clinical trial databases related to cardiac valve disease and THV. + Maintain and regularly update a “ **Hot Off the Press** ” digest highlighting high-impact publications, clinical trial results, and emerging trends. + **Scientific Communication & Message Development** + Translate complex scientific data into clear, accurate, and impactful messages tailored for internal stakeholders and field-based medical teams. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scientific messages are aligned with company strategy and compliant with regulatory standards. + **Internal Review & Quality Control** + Lead or support the internal evaluation process for scientific content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and consistency of messaging. + Develop and maintain tools and processes for assessing the quality and impact of scientific communications. + **Stakeholder Engagement** + Serve as a scientific resource for internal teams. + Support the development of scientific training materials and participate in internal education sessions. **This is a short-term assignment for four months (September - December),** **with the potential for extension.** **What you'll need (Required):** + University degree in Life Sciences (e.g. Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Pharmacy, etc.) + Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, other European languages are plus. + Demonstrated experience in scientific literature review, data interpretation, and scientific writing. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor content to diverse audiences. + Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. **What else we look for (Preferred):** + Strong background in cardiovascular biology or related therapeutic areas; experience in structural heart disease is a plus. + Experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, or Medical Writing within the MedTech or pharmaceutical industry. + Familiarity with THV technologies and the clinical landscape of structural heart interventions. + Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for scientific communication in the healthcare industry.
