We are actively seeking Microbiology analysts, EM Analysts and Laboratory Technicians to join our client site based in Limerick.
All available roles will be discussed further at interview stage and the candidates experience/knowledge will be assessed to see what role they would be a better fit for.
Depending on the role, the day to day duties will include;
Environmental Monitoring Analyst
Perform Environmental Monitoring in a Biopharmaceutical ISO 8 manufacturing area.Maintain high aseptic standards by adhering to strict clean room behaviours and gowning procedures.Carry out routine sampling and incubation for Passive Air, Active Air and Surfaces.Supporting investigations by completing ad-hoc sampling and swabbing.Execute Non-viable and Viable analysis on Compressed Gas systems.Sample Ethanol points to monitor the Ethanol supply for manufacturing.Monitor water loops used by manufacturing by completing sampling of Water for Injection (WFI) and Clean Steam (CS) points.QC Microbiology Analyst
Perform wet chemistry and microbiology testing with precision and accuracyConduct tests on Biological Indicators, Bioburden, Endotoxin, pH, Conductivity Nitrates, and Total Organic CarbonExecute microbiological plate reading and streaking techniquesProcess Science Lab Technician
Supporting cell culture and downstream purification projects including set-up of equipment and material preparationBioreactor preparation, media/feed/buffer make-ups, probe/equipment calibration and organization. Build bioreactors and bioreactors assemble and complete bioreactor samplingResponsible for sample submission in line with site guideline sand proceduresMaintaining laboratory equipment by performing checks (i.e. calibrations, reagent replenishment) and organizing performance maintenance or services as required in conjunction with laboratory staff and project schedules.QC Laboratory Technician
Responsible for carrying out water sampling in grey space sampling areas and for accurately logging samples into the relevant systems in a timely manner as required.Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the autoclaves: set-up and preparation of items to be autoclaved in a timely manner.To ensure that the autoclaves are operating correctly as per procedural requirements and that autoclave loads are carried out as per the validated load patterns.Responsible for carrying out all periodic autoclave checks.Responsible for maintaining CTU cleanliness and perform sample disposals.Responsible for cleaning laboratory and equipment as required e.g. autoclaves, BSC’s, CTUs etc.QualificationsGraduates with a relevant science degreeTo confidently speak about practical experience gained throughout studies.Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skillsGood understanding of GMP/Aseptic techniques and ALCOAPassionate about quality and customer service.Good communication skills both internally and externally.Note: Shift work is required for all roles. Our shift pattern for these roles is 12hr days and consists of a two week cycle, week one being Mon, Tues, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and week two being Wednesday and Thursday. The working hours will depend on the role and will either be 08:30am to 08:30pm, 07:00am to 07:00pm or 02:00pm - 02:00am
