SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
Purpose: A School Psychologist assures that procedures and protocols are in compliance with KidsPeace standards, licensing requirements, accrediting body standards, and the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Guidelines. Provide psychological assessments and collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create supportive learning environments. Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and address behavioral issues, ensuring students' academic and social-emotional success. Job Duties / Essential Functions 1. Appropriately administer and score psychological test protocols, analyze and interpret psychological findings as appropriate for client needs, with documentation. 2. Provide useful, timely information in written and/oral form to treatment team members and referral agencies 3. Participate in RR/IEP team meetings for presentation of psychological data and findings to the educational team 4. Provide educational assessments as needed 5. Contribute to the development of special behavioral plans and assessments of clients in need of specialized services. 6. Complete annual training requirements. Qualifications (Education, Training and Experiences) 1. Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D. in psychology preferred. PA state licensure as a psychologist is required. 2. Demonstrated experience with children and adolescents required, preferably including assessment, diagnosis, and academic and behavioral support. 3. Must possess basic computer knowledge and skills.
