Job Description
Essential Functions
Health Monitoring: Conducts assessments, reviews histories, and monitors student health.
Care Planning: Develops and updates IHPs and emergency action plans for students with medical needs.
Direct Care: Administers first aid, medications, and treatments; responds to emergencies.
Recordkeeping: Maintains confidential health records and ensures compliance with reporting requirements.
Screenings: Performs and interprets mandated health screenings and coordinates follow-ups.
Health Education: Teaches students, staff, and families about wellness, hygiene, and chronic condition management.
Counseling & Support: Provides health counseling, including for mental health and sensitive issues.
Supervision: Trains and oversees health staff in clinical procedures and safety protocols.
Family & Community Liaison: Coordinates care with families and external healthcare providers.
Team Collaboration: Participates in IEP/IFSP/SST meetings and supports educational planning.
Compliance & Reporting: Prepares health reports and manages medication and supply inventories.
Emergency Response: Leads crisis response and infection control efforts.
Training & Advocacy: Provides ongoing health training and promotes inclusive, equitable care.
Other Duties: Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Requirements
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license School setting experience strongly preferred
First aid, CPR, and AED certifications preferred
Child Hearing and Vision Testing certifications preferred
Bilingual preferred null
