They follow food safety guidelines, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and assist with stocking and organizing supplies. This role supports the school’s mission by ensuring students receive healthy meals that fuel learning and growth. Responsibilities:Follow the daily work scheduleFollow published menus and standardized recipesComplete assigned tasks, such as but not limited to food production, cleaning, dishwashing, service, putting up stock and paperwork as designated by school manager or assistant managerFollow all food safety and HACCP procedures to ensure food safety, sanitation and hygieneCleaning and Sanitizing any surface areas and / or equipment, such as serving lines, tables, seats, equipment and floorsSweeping and mopping all floorsTaking trash / cardboard out and placing in the designated dumpsters Qualifications and Requirements:Must be able to speak and comprehend the English languageSimple math, reading skills, and recipe preparation. High School diploma or GED requiredCommunications skills to communicate positively and effectively with students, staff, vendors and parentsComplete job requirements in assigned areas. This may include but not limited to the following maintain dish room, daily record keeping, properly receiving and storing of food and supplies, fruit / vegetable preparation, salad / sandwich preparation, mainline cooking, inventory, inventory control and kitchen janitorial dutiesManual skills for cleaning and sanitizing food preparation equipment.
