As a School Based Therapist, you will work collaboratively with area public schools to provide individualized counseling, case management, and support services. You will conduct clinical assessments, deliver interventions, and coordinate access to community resources while conveniently offering services on-site during school hours. Provide individualized counseling to students at the school site during operating hours to address emotional and behavioral concerns.Manage a caseload that aligns with supervisory guidelines, ensuring efficient coordination and effective case management.Offer prevention, intervention, and support services to identified students to reduce barriers to academic achievement and enhance student success.Participate in collaborative treatment planning, attending client staffing sessions to identify issues and establish treatment goals and objectives per Burrell guidelines.Provide emergency response services for students experiencing emotional crises.Conduct comprehensive follow-ups to ensure continuity of care and ongoing support.Coordinate community resources, working with school counselors and community organizations to facilitate holistic support.Perform clinical assessments and interventions for students and families at the school site.Act as a liaison between the school, students, and families to ensure seamless service coordination.Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a licensure-eligible field such as Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.Active licensure (or working toward licensure) as one of the following:Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC)Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW)Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (PLMFT/LMFT)
Additional Qualifications:
Preferred experience providing family, individual, and group therapy, as well as community education.Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Commitment to promoting student well-being and academic success.
