As a Behavioral Health Technician I, you'll provide direct and supportive care to youth in a school-based setting. You’ll help ensure a safe and therapeutic environment while supporting students’ treatment plans, facilitating group activities, and serving as a positive role model. Our ideal candidate is passionate about youth mental health, has experience working with children or adolescents, and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Encourage students to follow program expectations in a trauma-informed and supportive manner
Participate in treatment planning by identifying strengths, needs, and goals
Assist with admission/orientation processes including vital signs, safety checks, and paperwork
Monitor student activities, document behavior, and report significant observations
Facilitate or assist with supportive group activities and educational sessions
Support students in performing daily routines and tasks
Assist with health monitoring and crisis intervention
Provide transportation when needed for program-related activities
Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
Communicate effectively with students, families, and team members
Complete documentation accurately within the electronic health record
Participate in trainings, team meetings, and organizational development
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Two (2) years of responsible employment
Experience in Human Services, Education, or a related field preferred
Required License/Certification (one of the following):
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Additional Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage with youth in a respectful and encouraging manner
Basic computer and typing proficiency
Knowledge of confidentiality and safety protocols
Ability to remain calm in crisis situations
Team-oriented with flexibility and initiative
