Scheduling Coordinator- UPMC Travel Staffing
**UPMC Travel Staffing is excited to recruit a new scheduling coordinator to the team! If you have prior scheduling experience and are looking for a remote role, this is the position for you! This position will be working Monday-Friday, day shifts, with some flexibility with start and end times.** **In this role, the scheduling coordinator will be working with the UPMC Travel Staffing leadership team, supporting bedside nurses and allied health professionals who float throughout the UPMC system. Some key aspects of the role are assisting with timekeeping, ensuring staff have access and credentials needed to perform bedside duties, and maintaining accurate schedules. The candidate will also be using tools within the Microsoft 365 suite on a day-to-day basis.** **Our ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and effectively manage multiple priorities. Additionally, they have excellent customer service skills and thrive in a collaborative environment.** **Apply today if you are interested!** **Purpose:** Perform all scheduling-related functions to fulfill requests for supplemental nursing support from UPMC facilities and day-to-day management/interaction with UPMC Travel Staffing employees. **Responsibilities:** + Schedules department employees as requested by those customers courteously and professionally. Enforces department, UPMC, and Nursing policies and procedures. Alerts HR consultant and/or manager of any performance issues and policy infractions related to department employees. + Keeps the department manager informed of nursing activity/trends within UPMC's facilities as it relates to filling nursing staff requests. Works with managers to fill long-term supplemental staffing needs. Instructs and informs department employees about new policy and process updates and/or changes + Ability to manage phone and e-mail conversations in an organized manner. Conducts all scheduling interactions to fill supplemental nursing request orders and documents appropriately within the vendor management system. Manage schedules and determine the availability of department employees to best match with available assignments. + Data enters new department employees into the Vendor Management System. Ensure department employees have appropriate credentials and are compliant with regulatory standards before placement in any assignment. Establishes business relationships with UPMC facility contacts (AODs, UDs, and schedulers) to best understand facility needs and ensures staffing support when requested. + *Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.*Performs other duties as assigned. · A High School diploma is required. · A college degree is preferred. · One year of experience within a customer service and/or healthcare environment is required. · Experience within a healthcare/patient setting is preferred. · Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. · Computer skills and knowledge is required-including knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Bookings). **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
