This position will assist in the operation of scheduling for the Nursing Department of the Minnesota Veterans Home Minneapolis; under the direction of the Scheduling Supervisor. The beautiful 53-acre wooded campus includes mature oaks and pines, nature trails and biking paths overlooking the Mississippi River._** **Minimum Qualifications** + Ability to understand information sufficient to maintain complex records, files, notes and logs such as nursing schedules and staffing level + Knowledge of data entry procedures and systems, such as Microsoft Office or similar data entry systems sufficient to produce forms, reports, and general correspondence + Skill in database management sufficient to enter and retrieve data from a staffing/scheduling software + Skill in customer service sufficient to provide prompt and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with staffing and scheduling employees + Experience using an electronic scheduling/staffing software + Knowledge of collective bargaining unit agreements sufficient to resolve basic scheduling questions **Additional Requirements** This position requires successful completion of the following: + Employment reference checks will be conducted on finalists.
