As part of our continued commitment to the environment, and through our partnership with One Tree Planted, we will plant a tree for every patient enrolled in one of our sites.\n\nDiscover Impactful Work:\nMaintains current and accurate data concerning technician availability and training status in order to appropriately schedule the technical staff to assure full use of staff in the most efficient manner possible. Provides weekly schedule of technical procedure coverage for the Clinic.\n\nA day in the Life:\nMaintains a current and accurate list of technician availability and assigns them to procedures accordingly. Assures that available hours are distributed as fairly and as cost-effectively as possible. Assures that all procedures are covered with appropriately trained staff.\nCompletes projected weekly technician schedules and assures that all weekly schedules are copied and distributed and provides technicians with any materials requested for distribution with schedules.\nWorks with Training Coordinator to determine training needs and to schedule technicians for training.\nMaintains technician time-off request group calendar.\nCoordinates with the supervisor in determining which procedures to post for voluntary sign-up. Ensures that sign-up sheet is posted in timely manner.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nKeys to Success:\nEducation\nHigh / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification Technical positions may require a certificate\n\nExperience\nPrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience\n\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities\nStrong interpersonal skills, customer service philosophy and flexibility is required due to the last minute and frequent changes to study flowcharts\nAbility to analyze complex data\nAbility to interpret study protocols\nAbility to coordinate many tasks simultaneously\nAbility to logically solve problems (data integrity)\nEffective problem-solving skills. Good mediation skills would also be beneficial. Ability to function with multiple types of individuals in potentially difficult or uncomfortable situations.\nAttention to detail. Strong planning and organization capabilities to manage multiple tasks and multiple study groups at one time.\nProficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, and experience in working with maintenance of computerized databases such as Oracle)\nEffective time-management skills\nGeneral knowledge of the clinical research process preferred (GCP, Informed consent, Drug Dispensing and accountability, data collection)\nAbility to work well in a collaborative team environment\nPhysical Requirements / Work Environment\nWork is performed in an office or clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.\nFrequently works long hours and varying shifts\nFrequently works weekends and/or holidays\nFrequently works at a fast pace under varying time constraints\nFrequently requires working on multiple priorities simultaneously\nOccasional exposure to bio-hazardous material, infectious diseases and/or illnesses Personal protective equipment may be required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.\nPhysical Requirements:\nFrequently stationary for 4-6 hours per day.\nRepetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.\nOccasional mobility required.\nOccasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.\nLight to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.\nAbility to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.\nAbility to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.\nMay interact with others, relating and gathering sensitive information. Interaction includes diverse groups.\nWorks with guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions from management. May require periods of intense concentration.\nPerforms a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress.
