Scheduler
Position Summary:
With general supervision, the Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the timely movement and processing of parts on assigned programs or areas in order to meet customer delivery schedules.
Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for essential report generation and analysis. Some of these reports include, Transfer & Induction, Backlog Report, Shipping Tracker.
+ Own and lead the production meeting. Duties include but are not limited to understanding the estimated shipment dates, orders scheduled to ship daily, etc.
+ Distribute the Production Meeting Report including the shipping list, past due chart, and OTR metric.
+ Ensure all promise dates are accurately updated in the RCARD system.
+ Send Latest SCRAP Report (if any) to SSO: Distribute the most recent scrap report to the SSO team, if applicable.
+ Maintain crucial recordkeeping such as documenting/recording reason codes for any issues, capturing needed metrics and dollar values.
+ Distribute the schedules for the upcoming week to all relevant teams.
+ Run TAT Report and create TAT Model: Generate the turnaround time (TAT) report and develop the corresponding TAT model for analysis and tracking.
+ Review and organize induction batches to ensure accuracy and remove any discrepancies.
+ Coordinate with other functional groups to develop and implement daily work schedules, short range capacity plans and build plans.
+ Active participant in team meetings to develop and implement plans to meet team goals such as; schedules, quality, cost, etc.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Two years of dispatching, shop scheduling or production planning experience in a computerized manufacturing system environment.
+ Knowledge of material requirements planning, capacity planning and shop floor control required.
+ Knowledge of A.P.I.C.S. concepts/principles preferred. General understanding of manufacturing routings, travelers and blueprints.
+ May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
+ Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
