Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a Scala Software Developer. Responsibilities: * Design, implement, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems in assigned areas * Analyze, revise and document difficulties in existing system logic * Provide management with system analysis, feedback, and improvement recommendations * Work with software architects identifying and recommending design and requirements needed for software enhancements * Develop RESTful APIs for use by various front end/UI using Scala/Java/typescript technologies * Strong experience with any of these programing languages (Java, Python, Scala, Typescript) * Develop microservices using AWS * Take ownership and make technical decisions on software development projects * Develop and implement software according to proposals * Estimate scope of work * Create project documentation * Implement software proposals * Serves as an escalation point to resolve incidents and problems for production applications and web services supported by the team in accordance with identified Service Level Objectives * Collaborates with internal customers, technical, and architecture teams to solve complex software problems * Influences system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for software enhancements * Mentors and coaches less experienced staff * Participates in continuous performance improvement and root cause analysis sessions to discuss opportunities to improve processes, system reliability, and standards * Analyzes and resolves computer related problems by coordinating with in-house personnel to diagnose and fix operational issues, as well as consulting, advising and training on specialized features and functions * Implements internal automation systems, including code development
