Job Description
This role will focus on connecting a wide variety of equipment to our plant network for our MES system, Tulip. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating the unique challenges of integrating diverse technology while collaborating closely with IT to ensure secure, reliable connectivity.
ResponsibilitiesConnect and integrate a range of machines into the enterprise network.Program and troubleshoot PLCs and interface them with various types of manufacturing equipment.Specify and install appropriate I/O devices to enable data acquisition from both legacy and modern systems.Design and implement electrical wiring and control interfaces to support machine connectivity.Partner closely with IT to ensure consistent and secure machine-to-network communication.Maintain detailed documentation for wiring, network configurations, and machine interfaces.Work with legacy Rockwell & Siemens automated machines to pull data.Ensure network connectivity by connecting all legacy smart factory machines to Tulip and Ignition software.Engage in app creation and minor PLC programming.Create and connect devices with sensors to machines using simple input/output commands.Essential SkillsStrong network connectivity skills with experience in PLC, MES, Ignition, and Tulip.Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.Strong electrical engineering background with hands-on experience in industrial environments.Experience in machine integration.Network connectivity experience with either Ignition or Tulip or similar software.Familiarity with industrial networking protocols such as Ethernet/IP, ModBus, OPC, etc.Understanding of network security.Basic understanding of PLC programming in either Rockwell or Siemens with the ability to use simple I/O commands.Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite with standard working hours of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.
