The Weyerhaeuser Lumber Mill in Dodson, LA is looking for a skilled Saw filer. The primary function is to ensure the sawmill and planer mills always have a supply of sharp saws.

The pay range for this role is $28.98 (Level 1) to $41.66 (Lead) depending on experience and education.

Key Functions: The Saw Filer will be responsible for filing room activities consisting of, but not limited to:

Ensuring the sawmill always has a supply of sharp sawsStellite, repair and weld in broken teethBabbitt mill chipper knivesAssisting in saw changesInspect equipment for signs of wear, damage or unsafe conditionsIdentify quality and efficiency problemsHousekeepingMaintenance of filing room equipmentSawmill machine alignmentOther work processes as necessary

Example: identifying signs of wear, damage or unsafe conditionsKnowledgeable with making repairs as neededHigh School Diploma or GED requiredWillingness to work any shift and weekendsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
