The Fleet Supervisor (Satellite) plays a key role in managing various aspects of the distribution/transportation activities within an assigned satellite location. The supervisor prioritizes providing the highest level of service to both internal and external customers. They foster a cohesive and effective team by demonstrating dedication to the company's 5Cs (Commitment, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Customer Focus) and coaching associates to achieve excellence in quality and productivity. They are accountable for maintaining standards and driving activities to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). As part of their role, the supervisor continuously evaluates performance and identifies areas for improvement, making recommendations and implementing changes to enhance workflow efficiencies. They will oversee up to 14 employees (Lead, Drivers & Loaders) and will not manage the P&L, as this will be handled by the Sr. Manager at the primary site. They closely monitor daily schedules and proactively adjust staffing levels, assignments, and routes based on volume fluctuations. Their responsibilities encompass coordinating and overseeing and may perform activities such as receipt, storage, order filling, loading of inventory, and/or delivery. The supervisor must also be qualified as a driver to provide backup for drivers or perform occasional deliveries as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supervises the receipt, storage, order filling, loading of inventory, and/or transportation activities of a department or small satellite location with a private fleet, overseeing up to 14 employees. 7 - 12 Routes greater New Orleans area. Recruit, train, and develop department associates. Provide input for short-term coverage planning for staffing requirements and resource allocations. Conduct associate performance reviews, coaching, and ongoing performance discussions. Monitor and record productivity and accuracy for assigned area. Communicate effectively with associates and create an open communication style that fosters a collaborative work environment. Oversees daily activities ensuring compliance with SOPs and meeting established goals. Administer safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance. Communicate and administer policies and procedures in assigned area. Must be qualified as a driver to provide backup or occasional delivery support. May perform activities such as receipt, storage, order filling, loading of inventory, and/or delivery and other duties as assigned. Building oversite and security

Education and Experience:

Level of Formal Education: High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelors preferred. Area of Study: Experience in a production, logistics, transportation, or business-to-business distribution facility. Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Type of Experience: Distribution, Transportation, or Operations preferred. Driver experience strongly preferred. Technical Competencies & Information Systems: Microsoft Office.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong communication and leadership skills. Strong knowledge of warehouse and/or transportation operations and procedures. Proven decision-making capabilities. Ability to manage and motivate employees. Comfortable with technology and operational systems; computer-savvy.

Self-motivated, team player. Ability to set and manage expectations; observe and monitor work progress. Lead through change and deliver critical coaching and feedback on associate performance. Strong attendance record and reliability. Flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
