The Boeing Company is seeking a Sapphire Interfaces Project Manager (Senior or Lead) to join the team in Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; Saint Charles, MO; North Charleston, SC; Dallas, TX; Everett, WA; Huntsville, AL; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; Plano, TX; Seattle, WA; or Tukwila, WA. 

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is modernizing its foundational Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), manufacturing operations management (MOM), and enterprise resources planning (ERP) systems; enhancing its data strategies; and improving alignment of its execution processes via a program called Sapphire that is a joint effort between BDS and Boeing Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S).

This individual will support the Sapphire Program within IDT&S and join the Infrastructure and Integration Development Integrated Project Team (IPT). The specialist will apply program management best practices to develop strategies and oversee execution of projects within the IPT work statement, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards of safety and quality. 

The role also requires establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with other development IPTs, key stakeholders, and supporting functions.

The successful candidate will be skilled at leading and communicating within a matrixed organization of geographically distributed, cross‑functional teams to ensure effective execution.

Position Responsibilities:

Provide oversight and management, including performance management and reporting, for efforts associated with developing, testing, and releasing integrated Sapphire capabilities, middleware, and system/data interfaces

Identify key stakeholders and define project-specific objectives and requirements

Deliver in-depth analysis, capture lessons learned, and produce historical reports to inform future project planning

Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies; demonstrate experience using EVM to monitor, manage, and guide program performance

Manage the Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) process in coordination with key partners, including Engineering, Finance, Integrated Planning and Scheduling, and Supply Chain

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience using project management methodologies, including developing project plans, performance management, and managing issues and risks

Experience in the implementation and use of Program Management best practices

Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)

Ability to travel up to 25% domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Active US Top Secret Clearance (or higher), or ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance

Experience working well in a team environment

Experience in adjusting priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events

Experience working with Information Technology functions

Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: For Senior (Level 4) $107,950 – $156,400

Summary pay range: For Lead (Level 5) $132,600 - $ 192,050
