With the recent extensive growth of our local team, we are looking for a new SAP Team Leader to oversee a dynamic group of IT professionals.

As the Team Leader, you will oversee a local team of 20 members, which includes 14 SAP specialists dedicated to managing, enhancing, and optimizing the critical SAP ERP landscapes at ZEISS in a stable and reliable manner. Additionally, you will lead 6 team members focused on various corporate IT support platforms. This role will operate within a matrix organization, where you will serve as the local line manager while collaborating closely with the German Corporate IT Function management team, who will provide technical leadership.

Your Role

Line Management; Oversee the daily operations and performance of the existing team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new team membersPerformance Evaluation: Conduct probationary and performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities for team members.Point of Contact: Act as the first point of contact for the German Corporate IT Function management team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Strategic Planning: Identify and propose opportunities for improvement and innovation within the team to enhance overall performanceResource Allocation: Manage team resources effectively, ensuring that projects are staffed appropriately and that workloads are balanced.Training and Development: Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and career growth.Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, project status, and key metrics to senior management.

Your Profile

Solid experience in SAP consulting and customization across various modules (e.g: MM/SD/PP/EWM), with a strong understanding of SAP systems and processes.Demonstrated disciplinary and technical leadership experienceLanguage Skills: Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of German is a plusStrategic thinking and entrepreneurial mindsetStrong understanding of customer interests with a results-oriented and service-minded approach.Experienced in the roles of moderator, organizer, and motivator, capable of facilitating discussions and driving team engagement.Practical experience in implementing agile values such as trust, appreciation, error culture, and constructive feedback.Commitment to teamwork, trustworthiness, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
