Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialise in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimise operational efficiency. These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

As a SAP consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services across various SAP applications to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of SAP applications. Your versatile knowledge will allow you to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency and achieving their strategic objectives.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of 

As an SAP Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Responsible for solution strategy and project delivery as an SAP Director

Identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell (as part of a team) potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection 

Leading large teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation

Leading or provide oversight to the delivery of business led technology enabled transformation programs, using agile design, development and implementation methodologies 

Defining, monitoring and delivering on project scope, schedule, and budget by understanding the business goals and the client's statement of work 

Developing work plans, managing deadlines, and coordinating project team and sub-team activities to ensure successful on time delivery 

Identifying and managing project dependencies, resources, risks and critical path

Providing leads with guidance and recommendations on project direction, priority, resource allocation, and scheduling 

Managing all aspects of project budgets and change requests 

Contributing as a team leader by managing diverse teams of motivated and talented individuals, contributing to their development and helping them reach their potential via formal and informal coaching 

Leading and contributing to business development activities, writing and presenting of proposals, responding to RFPs, and developing the firms SAP and BXT (Business, Experience, Technology) methodologies 

Managing 3rd party and offshore resources

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve 

Have high visibility among internal leadership and client stakeholders hence prior experience in effective and regular communication, including status and project vision, to all stakeholders is a must have

Leading large SAP programs ($30-$50M per year) in a complex environment with multiple vendors 

Proven ability navigating deliverables in a multi-vendor environment

Effective communication that is critical for appreciating the nuances between technical and non-technical audiences

Proven years of experience in large-scale complex IT project management, business transformations, and systems implementation. At least five full life cycles of SAP project management experience

Proven track record of successfully delivering SAP application solutions with at least two end to end SAP S/4 HANA implementation project on premise or Cloud edition

Demonstrated experience leading team and providing thought leadership in Delivery Excellence

Post secondary education considered an asset

Language skills: bilingual proficiency in French and English considered an asset 

A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
