Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Lead SAP Basis operations and system lifecycle managementManage installations, upgrades, support packages, and kernel updatesOversee performance tuning, system health checks, and proactive monitoringDesign and maintain SAP landscape architecture and transport strategyEnsure secure user and role administration across systemsCollaborate with DB, network, and OS teams for end-to-end supportDefine and implement system backup, disaster recovery, and high availability plansResolve technical issues, support go-lives, and manage system outagesMaintain documentation, system logs, and technical configuration recordsSupport SAP integrations with third-party applications and cloud platformsProvide guidance on SAP roadmaps, sizing, and infrastructure planning

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldSAP Certified Technology Associate (Basis, HANA, or OS/DB Migration)Additional certifications in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) are a plusProject Management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred

Experience

8–12 years of hands-on SAP Basis experienceMinimum 2 years in a leadership or managerial roleExperience managing large-scale SAP environments (ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA)Exposure to cloud deployments and hybrid landscapesProven track record of handling system migrations, upgrades, and performance tuningAt least 5 years of Experience in the Banking Sector

Technical & Functional Skills

Expertise in SAP Basis administration for ABAP and Java stacksStrong knowledge of HANA and traditional RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)Experience in SAP landscape design, transport management, and client strategyFamiliarity with Solution Expert, EarlyWatch, and system monitoring toolsUnderstanding of network and infrastructure dependencies in SAP landscapesKnowledge of SAP security, audit readiness, and authorization conceptsExperience with automation, scripting, and system orchestration tools is a plus

Soft Skills

Strong communication and coordination abilitiesAbility to troubleshoot under pressure and manage escalationsClear documentation and reporting disciplineLeadership and team development skillsStrong planning, prioritization, and project management capabilityCustomer-focused with a solution-oriented mindset

Work Environment & Conditions

Consulting environment with responsibility for multiple client landscapesTravel may be required within the Kingdom of Saudi ArabiaCollaboration with global infrastructure, security, and SAP functional teamsParticipation in on-call rotation and weekend support during critical activitiesExposure to a wide range of SAP systems and industry clientsFast-paced environment requiring quick decision-making and strong execution
