You provide software and application expertise and analysis to support implementation of the strategy and the solution.
How you will contribute
You will provide expert consultation for a specific software or application, leading on issues and resolutions, optimizing service delivery to meet business demands and the service operations strategy. To excel in this role, you will recommend steps to optimize investments and benefits and to mitigate risks for a specific application. In addition, you will identify suppliers, evaluate them, on-board new vendors, and oversee them, work with project resources to provide design collateral and to configure software components that are aligned with security policy and governance, ensure adherence configuration standards and processes, and share your knowledge of the technology with relevant stakeholders.

The team will also be responsible for optimizing the environment and ensuring that we use the right tools i.e. single sign on. The optimization specialization will be to make sure that we get the most out of our environment both at a performance and cost perspective.
Job Description
You will play a critical role in the implementation of major projects in the SAP landscapes.
Create and execute ramp down/up plans, technical health check plansDevelop technical plans for the Core non-production builds, refreshes and cutoversExecute overall release plan and management of project defectsEnsure partners are engaged and managing the expectations and deliverablesReview hardware requirements for the implementation of projects with the Global SAP Capacity LeadCoordinate/execute with SAP on Max Attention service for project deliveryReview and validation of installations, migrations, upgrades of operating systems, databases and SAP environmentsTechnical analysis to understand the implications of SAP notes and involve the necessary teams to understand impactTechnical analysis of the project changes against the productions SAP environmentValidate the backup restore, high availability, database of rollback scenariosPerform system installations, upgrades and patching of SAP systems including ECC, BW, APO, EWM and other relevant systemsReview and troubleshoot technical challenges as part of the technical upgradesMonitor system performance, analyze system logs and implement performance tuning measures to optimize system response timesCollaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to design and configure the SAP system landscape, including system architecture, system profiles, transport management and system monitoringSAP and/or AWS/MicroSoft Azure certification is a plusMore about this role
