Join Our Team as a Sanitation Supervisor – Salina, KSWe’re seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead our sanitation team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance at our Salina, KS manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities: • Lead and supervise sanitation teams to clean and sanitize all facility equipment and areas per the Master Sanitation Schedule.• Ensure effective sanitation through verification methods (visual inspection, ATP, APC, ELISA, etc.) and maintain performance metrics (e.g., compliance rates).• Enforce compliance with USDA, FDA, customer requirements, and company food safety programs (GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP).• Coordinate sanitation schedules with operations, maintenance, and engineering to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.• Monitor sanitation performance, provide reports to stakeholders, and maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance.• Train staff on personal safety, food safety, sanitation practices, and regulatory requirements.• Manage chemical usage and inventory to ensure safe, compliant, and effective cleaning practices.• Supervise, train, and develop team members to build a high-performing sanitation team.• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and addressing sanitation gaps, using root cause analysis and process improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).• Collaborate with FSQ and facility leadership on sanitation initiatives and project work to enhance food safety and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 3 years of relevant experience.• Strong knowledge of sanitation chemicals, food safety, HACCP, and basic regulatory requirements.• Effective verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, regulatory guidelines, and technical documents.• Skilled in compiling reports, maintaining documentation.• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment.• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.• Proven leadership abilities with effective delegation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $58,500 to $97,500 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
