The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Sanitation Assistant to join our team at Grand Canyon National Park in Grand Canyon, Arizona.

As a Sanitation Assistant, you will be responsible for performing custodial duties such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, restocking paper and soap supplies, and keeping the property neat, clean, and free from clutter.

Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures. Ability to work quickly under pressure, follow directions.  Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations. Physical requirements Requires the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.  Frequent walking and standing for the entire length of the shift, and climbing stairs. Bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, grasping, and carrying items.  Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing. Exposure to chemicals and solvents used to clean and sanitize.  Shift details
