Job Description
Join our dynamic Pain/Blast Department as a Sandblaster Paint Sprayer where you will play a crucial role in preparing and finishing metal components using advanced blasting and painting techniques.
ResponsibilitiesBlast all types of metal, including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.Read blueprints and drawings to determine areas to blast and apply primer.Set up, operate, and troubleshoot blasters and paint guns.Utilize a two-part paint system for coating.Operate light production machinery effectively.Use hand and power tools for various tasks.Clean parts and components thoroughly.Apply coatings using rollers on parts and components.Follow work orders meticulously and record relevant details.Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including blast and spray zones.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience as a blaster/painter.At least 1 year of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.Experience with paint and blasting equipment.Ability to wear a helmet with an airline and a respirator.Experience using tools such as sanders and measuring tapes.Capability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift experience is a plus.Strong willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and reliability.Punctuality and a desire to contribute to the team.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work takes place in the Blast/Paint Department within a plastics production facility. You'll be working with epoxy and urethane paint, utilizing sandblasting equipment, and wearing a helmet with an airline and a respirator. The environment is fast-paced, requiring good communication skills. The production floor is open, with bay doors open for proper ventilation. The team is multicultural, and the facility accommodates about 50 employees. Please note that individuals with plastic allergies may not thrive in this setting. Day shift runs Monday to Thursday from 5 am to 3:30 pm, and weekend shift from Friday to Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm, with training conducted on the morning shift.
