Description -

Reporting to the Security Officer, the Security Guard is part of the Health & Safety department and collaborates with other departments of the mine.

TASKS

Control traffic on the road between Baker Lake and Meadowbank Mine Site. Report location of the vehicles on the road. Assure security on AWPR to Meadowbank. Dispatch communications on the road. Produce reports inherent to the function. Any other duties required by the Supervisor.

Work experience as Security Guard is an asset; Valid driver’s license; Must be reliable and show up as scheduled; Health & safety oriented; Ability working with computers (Microsoft Work & Excel); Willingness to learn; Experience working in a multicultural environment; Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team; Ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral & written).
