We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sample Prep Specialist to join our dynamic technical sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chromatography and sample preparation, and a strong understanding of the environmental and food safety markets. This role involves promoting and selling our state-of-the-art products and workflow solutions to Agilent’s customers, providing technical support, and developing strong customer relationships to drive sales growth.
As the Technical Specialist for sample preparation, you will work collaboratively across the Agilent sales organization, providing advanced technical support and expertise. You will be a key player in driving sales and customer satisfaction by offering in-depth product knowledge and application solutions. Your role will involve working closely with our sales teams, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful adoption and utilization of our sample preparation products.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the sales teams to provide technical expertise and support for the Agilent sample prep portfolio. Further develop and assist in closing new business opportunities for Agilent’s sample prep solutions.
Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for customers and internal teams on our sample prep solutions.
Support the creation and implementation of sales strategies to achieve targets, including identifying and targeting potential customers and building a strong pipeline
Act as a technical liaison between customers and Agilent’s product development and marketing teams.
Provide pre-sales technical support, understanding customer problems, recommending solutions to meet their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Contribute to the creation of technical content, including application notes, white papers, and webinars.
Represent Agilent at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer visits.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
4+ years relevant work experience in the sales, technical support, and/or application of sample prep products for analysis via chromatographic techniques is required. Knowledge of the food safety and/or environmental market preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing strong customer relationships preferred.
Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies.
Willingness to travel approximately 25% as required to meet with clients in the Eastern half of the US and Canada. Attend industry conferences and events as required.

In the US, this position is eligible for reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $147,675.00 - $246,125.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
