Sample Management Associate (M/F/D)
The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a motivated Sample Management Associate to join the team in Leiden. In this position you manage all samples and provide general lab support as required. Are you passionate about science and looking for a diverse position in a customer centric environment? Then read on!

As a Sample Management Associate, you have a variety of responsibilities including filling samples, labelling samples, registering samples, calibrating lab equipment and much more! This is a full-time position based in Leiden in the Bioscience Park. You will work from Monday to Friday with flexibility in working hours and no shifts.

The team 

You are part of a team of 8 associates and get to work closely with 3 of them. This is a supportive, hard-working team with a great group atmosphere. This team is part of our department Lab and Product Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

What we’re looking for 

Education: MBO 3 or 4 lab studies or first lab experienceExperience: Lab experience is an asset, though not required if you have a lab background from educationComputer: Good in MS Office; knowledge of SAP/E-lims/other is a plusStrong communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage

Prepare Sample management kits, making sure all equipment is availableManage, coordinate, and execute sample shipments and receiptFill samples, label samples and allocate them in smaller volumesProcess buffers and reagents considering GMP regulationsCreate and prepare samples, media, solutions and buffersCollect and register samples in the system and distribute samples over different departmentsManage (bio)wasteCalibration and verification of lab equipment such as pipettes, balances, PH-meters etc.Prepare materials, delivers orders to the end user and maintain required documents
