The Pacific Area Welfare and Self-Reliance department is seeking to appoint a Family Services Counsellor based in Apia, Samoa. This is a permanent full-time position, reporting to the Area Family Services Manager. The Family Services Counsellor will deliver professional counselling services, consultation and training with church leaders, community resource development and technical expertise relating to Family Services programs, services and resources, and work with the local Welfare and Self-Reliance Managers to support local leaders.

This is a growth-focused position, with the expectation that the successful candidate will actively engage in professional development by utilizing the employer’s education assistance program. If needed, they will be encouraged to enroll in a relevant graduate course in counselling, psychology, or a related field.
