A Day in the Life
Technical Guidance & Advisory
Serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert for Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and development methodologiesConduct thorough code and configuration reviews for work delivered by internal developers, admins and external vendors ensuring best practices’ conformance such as Apex governor limits and scalabilityMentor admin teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaborationProvide hands-on technical guidance and support to our team of developers, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharingGuide the adoption of Salesforce standards in coding, documentation, testing and deploymentStay up to date with Salesforce trends and industry changes to ensure compliance and future readinessGuide and coordinate the development team to ensure timely and high-quality deliveryArchitect and implement tailored Salesforce solutions that meet our business needsHands-on Development & Implementation
Design and develop and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and other Salesforce technologiesImplement integrations with third-party applications, APIs using REST and SOAP web services and experience with platform events / GraphQLContinuously optimize and upgrade existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and scalabilitySolution Design & Documentation
Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to design and create design documents, technical specifications, and architectural blueprintsEnsure proper documentation of technical processes, configurations, and system architectureChange Management
Managing and coordinating Salesforce releases cycles, overseeing deployment schedules, ensuring successful deploymentsAdvocate for DevOps practices and spearhead the setup of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub and DevOps platforms like GearsetStakeholder Collaboration & Communication
Interact with business stakeholders daily to gather and understand requirementsTranslate business needs into technical solutions that align with Salesforce best practicesProvide regular updates on project progress, risks, and technical challengesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutionsRequirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field (or 7-8 years equivalent work experience)6+ years of experience working with Salesforce, with proven expertise in administration, configuration, and development3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Technical Lead in an enterprise environment, leading development teams and overseeing project deliveryProven expertise with Salesforce integrations including REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms and third-party applicationsExpert knowledge with APEX (classes, triggers, and web services), VisualForce, Salesforce APIs, SOQL, Salesforce data model, custom objects, governor limits, workflows, and configurationPrior experience managing DevOps processes for Salesforce (e.g., CI/CD tools like Copado, Gearset and/or Git)Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring development/admin teamsExperience with support operations, incident management, and vendor coordinationSalesforce certifications required: Platform Developer I (Required)Application Architect (Nice to have)System Architect (Nice to have)Advanced Admin, or relatedCertified Technical ArchitectKnowledge & Competencies
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and platform capabilities (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud)Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform governance, security, and release managementUnderstand industry practices to support user functions better and suggest technical improvements to existing workflowsKnowledge of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components and other Salesforce development tools an assetExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Continuous improvement mind-setSoftware proficiency in Microsoft applicationsStrong communication and coordination skills, able to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersExperience working in multi-vendor environments or overseeing offshore teamsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence)The hiring base salary range for this position is $99,200 to $136,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
