Sales & Use Tax Manager
**Summary:** Meta is seeking an experienced professional to join its US Indirect Tax team. You will have a proven multi-functional record with broad US indirect tax technical experience. You will partner with a broad range of cross-functional business teams such as product, legal, accounting, and other finance functions to surface tax issues, solve problems, and recommend solutions while performing key responsibilities. **Required Skills:** Sales & Use Tax Manager Responsibilities: 1. Perform research and provide analysis on a variety of sales and use tax inquiries to both operationalize Meta’s products and minimize tax risk 2. Partner with cross functional groups within the company to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure tax needs are identified, considered, and communicated 3. Build relationships with third-party service providers, Meta’s finance and accounting teams, product teams, internal legal counsel to ensure tax requirements are met 4. Ensure new products are accurately characterized and implemented within Meta’s sales tax engine and are producing accurate taxability results 5. Resolve any sales tax system issues identified by the US Indirect Tax team or cross functional partners 6. Develop indirect tax operational process improvements, focusing on controls, automation, efficiency, and analytics 7. Adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines, analyze and solve problems, work under your own initiative with proven experience motivating and influencing others **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 8. 10+ years of US indirect tax experience 9. Proven experience in US indirect tax technical background with a detailed understanding of the application of sales tax principles to technology products 10. Demonstrated experience to cultivate cross-functional relationships and communicate complicated tax technical matters to all levels and business functions 11. Proven project management and organizational skills with the experience to prioritize multiple competing tasks in a fast paced, high pressure environment 12. Relevant experience understanding multiple technology stacks and partner integrations 13. An ability to balance individual ownership and accountability with collaboration and partnership 14. Understanding of ASC 450 **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 15. CPA, JD, or LLM in Taxation 16. Combined Big 4 or law firm and technology industry experience 17. Experience working with sales and use tax software (Vertex) 18. Broad indirect tax background in procurement and supply chain, property tax experience is a plus 19. Experience with improving, automating, and implementing tax processes and workflows 20.
