Sales Support Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tOffers technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.•\tPerforms analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.•\tPrepares and delivers technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues.•\tShares best practices and lessons learned.•\tPrepares and checks technical articles for publication.•\tDevelops and maintains new sales opportunities and resolves specific customer problems.•\tEnsures the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.•\tEnsures achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).•\tSupports the Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.•\tDefines cost for the proposed solution and communicates to the Sales organization.•\tProvides technical support to the Sales team during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations with customers and offers product/ solution/service-related training.•\tPrepares/supports the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, business unit, and Sales organization directives.•\tEnsures technical and financial aspects of offers, including price and trading conditions, are appropriate.•\tProvides information for the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and participates in the risk review assessment as required.•\tAnalyzes customer needs and competitor offers by leveraging general market information and insights provided by the Sales organization.•\tAnalyzes lost proposals, identifies the potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with the Sales/ business unit to achieve improved results.
