Position Summary:

We are seeking an Sales Support Representative to drive Sales of our damper products in the Railway market. The ideal candidate will leverage commercial and technical knowledge, with a focus on business development and sales activities in support of the Sales Managers. This is a vital function that has direct impact towards the success KONI has with Railway customers, OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and Operators.

 

The Sales Support Representative will be part of our team in Oud-Beijerland (Netherlands, South-Holland) and will be working in a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative working culture.

Essential Responsibilities

What does the role involve?

KONI will give you a unique opportunity to contribute to the company ongoing transformation by working with a high Caliber and international Sales Team composed of 11 team members with 7 different nationalities.

 

The key responsibilities include:

Support: Sales Director and Sales Managers daily activities that can result on new orders, opportunities and leads.Proposal Management: Create and submit winning quotes to Railway customers, collaborating with others (Sales Managers, Agents, Distributors, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain).Technical Expertise: Leverage mechanical and technical expertise to validate solutions, assess costs, and ensure alignment with customer specifications and needs.Order fulfillment: In collaboration with customer service support the order fulfillment of non-standard orders.Agreements: In collaboration with internal teams work on contract amendments, NDAs, agency/ distributor agreements.Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to address customer service issues, provide technical support, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.Sales Reporting: Analyze and report relevant Sales results for leadership on a monthly basis.Support Sales Managers with timely updates of information in KONI CRM and quotation systems.Travel: Possibility to travel along to visit customers or participate in trade shows.Customer Relations: Act as the backup interface for assigned accounts, representing the company with integrity, professionalism, and technical know-how. The ideal candidate has a business focused approach, is willing to work in a challenging environment and is always looking to improve. Key requirements are:

 

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a commercial environment, ideally in the railway market.Experience with dampers and the railway market is a significant advantage.Education: A bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration is required.Sales Skills: Proven success in business development, with the ability to support the close of sales and drive market expansion.Business Development: Experience managing a sales pipeline, executing new business development calls, and effectively closing deals.Networking Skills: Proven success engaging well with people either internal or external stakeholdersAnalytical Skills: Strong data analysis skills to understand customer needs and industry trends.Language Skills: Fluent in English. Multilingual is a plus.Technology Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office and web applications, with a strong ability to use data tools for reporting and analysis.Prioritization: Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities and navigate a fast-paced environment.
