Purpose
Responsible for achieving assigned sales quotas and goals for customers located within a defined geographic territory or account list. Prospects and develops business, responds to RFPs, and develops proposals for presentation to customer. Coordinates account resources with representatives from support and service teams.
Job Description
The Account Manager will be responsible for the sale of products from the Analytical Solutions Division of PerkinElmer in the assigned territory in a manner which positively reflects the Company image.
The territory will be Ireland: Munster and some parts of Leinster and Connaught
The product portfolio falls into two areas:
Separation Sciences including Gas Chromatography (GC) and Liquid Chromatography (LC);Spectroscopy including Ultraviolet (UV), Infrared (IR), Atomic Absorption (AA) and Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP & ICPMS).Previous sales experience of instrumentation is an advantage, however, we will consider applications from candidates with experience using relevant instrumentation in a laboratory environment who are considering a change in career direction.

To build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers to allow product and service information to be communicated and strategic information to be gathered.

A degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmacology or similar Command of English language, written and oral. Full Irish driving licenceExperience
Proven sales experience, within laboratory Instrumentation an advantageSales training will be given to laboratory technicians/scientists who have used relevant instrumentation in industry or academia.Personality
Good presentation, communication and inter-personal skills, including negotiation skillsNumerate and competent with detail and analysisPrepared to travel throughout the region and sometimes overseas on an ad hoc basis.
