Description
Robert Half is looking for a Product Specialist/Insurance Sales Representative for a busy insurance agency in Overland Park, KS on a temp to hire basis.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on life insurance products, providing guidance to internal teams and customers.
• Calls members and prospects in designated market areas to qualify leads and explain services or products offered.
• Build customer’s interest in the services and products offered by the company through product knowledge, pricing and sales.
• Arranges for the dispatch of products, information packages, brochures, etc., to clients and other interested parties.
• Work closely with underwriting, actuarial, compliance, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product implementation.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all company and customer information.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal insurance regulations.
• Participate in strategic planning and contribute to business growth initiatives.
• Opportunity to transition into a supervisory/management role.
Qualifications & Skills
• Life/Health insurance license required. If don’t have a current license, must be willing to obtain upon hiring. P& C license is not required but would be a benefit.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in life insurance sales and/or related experience. Call Center experience is helpful, but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products, including term, whole, and group life policies.
• Customer Service experience is beneficial.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to present insurance concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Leadership potential with the ability to mentor team members.
