Sales Representative

Job Purpose

The Sales Representative will be responsible for both On and Off trade accounts. The main objective for the role is to drive the route to market pull through from our Redistributors to our On Trade/Off Trade customers, identifying new business opportunities and increase our database.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and growth in market share are increased through targeted sales and marketing activities

Generate sales from existing customers

Call plan implementedDeals and discounts negotiated within agreed parametersCustomer queries and problems resolvedIncreased sales volumes negotiated within allocated sales areaNew listings and sales targets achieved as per sales planCalls and sales volumes recorded on standard daily working sheets and PDAWeekly and monthly sales and ad hoc promotions reports submitted on time according to agreed format on PDA

Implement sales and marketing strategy effectively

Visibility agreement executedAdditional visibility opportunities identified and implementedProduct availability/ distribution targets implementedMerchandising standards are maintainedSegmentation tool implemented (PDA)

Implement promotions

Promotions arranged according to the promotions planPromotional stock, staff and point of sale for promotions arrangedPromotions set up and implemented according to set criteria and on timeFeedback form on the outcomes of the promotion provided to sales management according to agreed deadline

Develop brand equity

Promotions reflect brand appropriate look and feelConsumers engaged through events and promotionsBar staff engaged and trained to promote the brandRelationships with equity accounts developed

Generate new business

New business initiated as per targetsRelationships with re-distributors developedLeads followed up and feedback provided to sales managersBusiness opportunities to sell product range identifiedDocumentation required for the opening of new accounts collated and followed upNew equity accounts identified

Stakeholder Relations

Productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders maintained:

Build relationships with customers and re-distributors

Increased sales volumes negotiatedCustomer queries and problems resolved effectivelyPernod Ricard is a preferred supplierBusiness opportunities to sell product range identified

Liaise with Merchandisers

Merchandising standards are maintainedAd hoc merchandising opportunities exploited

Develop collaborative relationship with the PRSA and Re-distributor Call Centres

Orders are captured correctly and on timeOut of stock information available to repsOn hold accounts information available to reps

Liaise with Regional Promotions Manager

Promotions set up and implemented according to set criteria and on timeFeedback form on the outcomes of the promotion provided to sales management according to agreed deadline

Build collaborative relationships with bar staff and venue owners

New trends identifiedPernod Ricard is the preferred supplier

Minimum Educational Requirements and Work Experience:

National Diploma or Degree qualification with commerce, sales and marketing preferableAt least 3-5 years’ experience in the liquor industry or within an FMCG environmentMust have a valid Driver’s License
