Let’s Talk about the Role
The Sales Representative will work as a core member of the Altra Sales team. The successful candidate will be given specific responsibility for the commercial development and sales growth of the Altra Brand within Denmark. Additionally, 30% of the role will involve responsibilities typically associated with a Technical Representative, focusing on the development and support of ALTRA’s key accounts.
How You Will Make a Difference
Sales Responsibilities (70% of the time)
Develop sustainable, profitable sales of Altra products through effective management of an assigned portfolio of customers.
Plan business to deliver sales in accordance with sales and distribution targets.
Identify, open, and develop relevant prospective accounts, ensuring effective territory management and appropriate distribution spread in line with brand strategy.
Visit assigned customers on a regular basis, building long-term business relationships.
Make regular and professional product presentations to your selected account group founded on a clear and detailed understanding of our brand's Go To Market strategy.
Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports to management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
Work closely with your channel marketing partner to ensure the positive development, implementation, and success of trade marketing campaigns consistent with the brand guidelines and strategic direction of the brand.
Obtain and analyse regular sell-through information to facilitate the order management process and increase brand awareness of market trends.
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and understand competitor activities.
Ensure that the Altra brand is always represented in a manner consistent with the brand guidelines.
Technical Representative Responsibilities (30% of the time)
Conduct regular staff training sessions, both formal and informal, ensuring that all staff are fully conversant with the features and benefits of Altra product range and strongly motivated to sell the brand.
Conduct demo runs using a sample set provided.
Assist at events we exhibit at either directly or alongside our retail partners.
Ensure product is in a prominent position, enjoying a high level of visibility, and that retail presentation is of a high standard, utilizing signage and POS.
Build excellent in-store relationships to ensure product is displayed in the best position and retail presentation is of a high standard.
Lead the country Ambassador initiative to spread the word on Altra in local communities.
Skills for Success
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Sales (preferably within a lifestyle or fashion-based background).
Retail experience essential, preferably from within the running and outdoor sector. Previous staff training experience desirable.
Ideally, candidates should be based in or close to Copenhagen.
Strong interpersonal skills. You need to be confident and capable of building good relationships.
A self-starter who can work independently.
Data-driven with a quantitative and qualitative outlook.
Good organization skills and a solution-oriented approach.
Deep appreciation for brand and team culture.
This role will require extensive travel, so a willingness to be out and about in the market is essential. You will also need a clean driving license.
Able to motivate and influence a store team.
Good English level.
Enthusiasm for/actively participating in the outdoor lifestyle.
Self-motivated, having initiative.
Strong communication skills, outgoing, engaging, persuasive style.
