Under close supervision, responsible for the market level forecasting of targets and fill rate achievement. Assists more senior Demand Planners to maximize account sales and inventory turns by forecasting consumer demand and developing optimal product assortments and replenishment inventory strategies. Learning role with 1 to 2 years of experience.

The position is responsible for managing the company’s sales and operations planning process, which involves creating and executing plans that optimize the production, inventory & distribution of goods and services.  Works closely with sales, operations and the finance teams to drive consensus decisions related to conflicting preferences of the supply and demand side of the supply chain. The S&OP analyst will help drive the process and lead the Demand and Supply review as part of the monthly SIOP.

Overview

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional demand & supply reviews as part of the monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) processPresent long-term SIOP demand/supply plan scenarios (including forecasting, shipment, inventory, and capacity) that maximize our ability to meet unconstrained demand and financial goalsHelp in the development of new business S&OP processes.Communicate plan risks to leadership and track risk mitigation actionsCreate and maintain long-term production plans balancing cross-functional input from business development/sales, program management, finance, production, supply chain, and engineeringCreate and maintain sales & inventory forecasts and strategiesWork with Operations to understand capacity constraints with production/space.Build consensus-based forecasts with the commercial team, focus on forecasting accuracy.Drive MRP data accuracy initiatives for effective supply planning, including updating the master schedule based on SIOP production plan changesProvide feedback on lead time (including capacity constraints) during proposals processWork with finance to understand capital budget, net working capital, and revenue / margin impacts of capacity, inventory, and production plan changes

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated competence in cross-functional leadership, teamwork and communication skillsAnalytical skills and data-driven mindsetMaster Production Scheduling,Advanced or expert Excel skillsContinuous improvement mindsetExperience using ERP and Business Intelligence toolsBachelor's Degree3+ years' experience in demand or supply planning, master scheduling, inventory planning, production scheduling, or capacity planning role

Preferred:

Experience leading to the implementation of a new demand or supply planning process, master scheduling, or capacity planning processAPICS certification
